Saving Private Ryan - Stunt Rubber German Gas Mask Canister

A prop German gas mask canister used in the 1998 Stephen Spielberg film "Saving Private Ryan", starring: Tom Hanks, Tom Sizemore, Edward Burns, Barry Pepper, Adam Goldberg, Vin Diesel & Giovanni Ribisi.

The German canister was custom made for the film and is constructed from foam rubber and painted army green, attached to the canister is an adjustable carry strap and webbing attachment with green painted metalwork. They were made to make sure stuntmen and actors were not harmed during action scenes. The canister measures: 267mm x 135mm (10.5" x 5.3" x 5.3").
