Troy - Trojan War Axe

A prop axe used in the 2004 film "Troy" starring: Brian Cox, Brad Pitt, Orlando Bloom & Eric Bana.

The axe was used by the soldiers of Troy and this style of axe can clearly be seen being used during the scenes when Troy prepares for Agamemnon‘s attack.

The axe features an ornate head made from very dense rubber that has been hand painted to appear aged and old and look like metal, the axe head has a little bit of damage to one of the corners probably due to being used in the fighting scenes.

The handle is made from wood and this huge axe measures: 183 x 38 x 5 cm (72" x 15" x 2").
