Alexander‘s sword used in the epic 2004 film "Alexander" starring Colin Farrell, Anthony Hopkins, Val Kilmer & Angelina Jolie.
This prop sword was used by actor Colin Farrell who played the character Alexander, the sword is very similar to the swords used by the Macedonian Hoplite Phalanx soldiers (a Xiphos sword).
It would have been used during the Persian ceremonial scene. Unlike the other Macedonian swords Alexander‘s sword features a slightly larger handle in width & length.
The sword is made from soft rubber and designed in such a way that if he fell it wouldn‘t hurt himself. The sword features a silver coloured blade and a white handle that has an ornate pattern in a gold coloured finish.
It measures: 66.5 x 11.5 x 4 cm (26" x 4½" x 1½") at the widest points.
